Hanna Osadko is a Ukrainian writer, scientist, translator, artist, illustrator.

Biography

Hanna Osadko was born June 4, 1978 in Ternopol. She graduated from the School of Arts and the Philological Faculty of the Ternopil Pedagogical University. After graduating from the university, she entered graduate school and defended her dissertation on the topic "Iconic images-symbols as stylistic factors in the poetry and prose of symbolism (based on the work of Pyotr Karmanskyi)". In 2006, she obtained an academic degree of candidate of philological sciences.

Professional activity

In 2000-2002, Anna worked as a Ukrainian language teacher for foreign students at the Ternopil Medical Academy. Since 2003, she has been working as a literary editor, illustrator and marketer at the Ternopil publishing house "Textbook — Bohdan".

Literary and artistic activity

Hanna Osadko is the author of six collections of poetry and short prose, as well as 15 children's books. As an artist, she works in a variety of techniques, such as graphics, collage, plasticine and glass illustrations, wool felting. Osadko has illustrated more than 70 art books, which is a testament to her multifaceted talent.

Exhibitions and workshops

Anna conducts author's master classes for children and adults, and also had several personal exhibitions. In particular:

  • 2010 — the exhibition "Bottle of Poems" in the Lviv Museum of Glass.
  • 2012 — exhibition "Plasticine, pen and glass" in the National Museum of Literature of Ukraine.

Recognition and awards

  • In 2013 the book by Ivan Andrusiak "Eight days from the life of a Chipmunk" with illustrations by Hanna Osadko was included in the prestigious annual catalog of the best children's publications in the world "White Crows".
  • Literary award "Blagovist" for the book "The one who flips penguins" (2009).
  • Diploma of the 20th Lviv Forum for the children's book "Plasticine Riddles".
  • All-Ukrainian Literary Award named after Mykhailo Kotsyubynskyi for the book "Live simply" (2018).

Modern activity

Hanna Osadko continues to work actively in the field of literature and art, participates in cultural projects, actively promotes children's literature and art in Ukraine.
