Biography
Doctor of Philological Sciences, professor of the Department of Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature at the Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko and the Department of Cultural Studies of the Ukrainian Catholic University. She is one of the leading specialists in Ukrainian literature, in particular modern and contemporary, which she represented at universities and academic institutions in more than twenty countries, including USA, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, Japan, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Ireland, Poland, Croatia and Czech Republic.
Scientific and organizational activity
In the period from 2004 to 2010, she headed the Humanities Research Center of Lviv University, and from 2001 to 2012, she worked as a senior research associate of this center. She was the organizer of a number of public meetings and publications that contributed to the formation of an open dialogue in Ukraine, as well as in the international cultural and academic environment. Among such projects are "Lectures in honor of Solomia Pavlychko", "University dialogues", "Intellectual biography", "Open Access" and "Agent 034".
She also co-organized international research projects on the intellectual history of the 20th century and the role of art and literature in crisis situations, in which she collaborated with the Humboldt University in Berlin and the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences. In addition, she is a member of the steering committee of international academies of the Prisma Ukrain initiative, which is aimed at studying cultural processes in Central and Eastern Europe.
Literary activity
The author of several poetry collections, including "The Bells of Days" and "Transgression and Progress". Her monograph "From anthology to ontology: anthology as a way of representing Ukrainian literature from the 19th to the 21st centuries." won recognition at numerous competitions and awards, including the Book of the Year of the Publishers' Forum, Litakcent website, Book of the Year of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine named after T. G. Shevchenko, Kyiv National University named after T. G. Shevchenko and National Museum of Literature of Ukraine.
Other honors and activities
She is a member of the Board of the Ukrainian Fulbright Circle, the Program Board of the Publishers' Forum and the jury of the Literary Prize "UNESCO City of Literature". In addition, she is an expert of translation projects of the Ukrainian Book Institute.
This personality plays an important role in the development of literary and scientific activity in Ukraine and abroad, actively contributing to the development of cultural exchange and scientific research related to Ukrainian literary heritage and modern Ukrainian culture.
