About the writer and translator

Born May 4, 1984 in Donetsk. After graduating from the Philological Faculty of the Donetsk National University majoring in Russian Philology and Cultural Studies, she also acquired knowledge in the field of Graphic Design. Due to the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war in the summer of 2014, she moved to Kyiv, where she continued her literary and translation activities.

Literary activity

Her poems, translations and reviews were published both in domestic and foreign periodicals. The writer's poems have been translated into 33 languages, which proves her international recognition. She also actively participates in poetry events and literary festivals in Ukraine and abroad, such as in Belarus, Poland, Belgium, Finland, USA, Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Greece, Italy and other countries.

Translation activity

As a translator, she specializes in Polish poetry and essay writing. She actively works on translations for various publishing houses and programs, in particular for the "Pijama Library" program in Ukraine (PJ Library), which offers children's books.

International residencies and scholarships

  • Scholar of the program of the Minister of Culture of Poland Gaude Polonia (2021).
  • Participant of the international residence for writers International Writing Program in the USA (2023).
  • In 2020, she participated in the international translation seminars Cities of translators digital — a project of the program of the German Translation Fund TOLEDO, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
  • In 2021, she became a participant in the project Tłumacze bez granic (Ukrainian - "Translators without borders") in Poland.

Place of residence

Now the writer and translator lives in Lviv, where she continues her creativity and translation activities.
