Biography

Natalka Movchun is a Ukrainian writer, poet, dramatist, writer with a deep connection to the traditions of the Ukrainian word and many years of contribution to children's literature. Her works are a combination of play, knowledge and philosophy that organically instill in young readers a love of language and culture.


Biography

She was born August 26, 1969 in Kyiv in a family of intellectuals: Antonina Ivanivna Movchun, a teacher and Greenchenko expert, and Viktor Maksymovich Movchun, a philologist and biker.

She spent her childhood in Kyiv, but the formation of her worldview is deeply connected with the village of Verbka in Vinnytsia, where every summer she immersed herself in the world of folk speech.

  • Kyiv secondary school #212 (1987)
  • Philological Faculty of Kyiv State Pedagogical Institute named after M. P. Drahomanova (1992, diploma with honors) — specialty: teacher of Ukrainian language and literature

Literary activity

She started writing poems as early as preschool age. She made her debut with the publication "Bow down, human, to the resurrected truth" in the magazine "Ukrainian language and literature in school" (1991, No. 5).
