Romana Romanyshyn is a visual poetess of a children's book


Education and formation

Born on June 4, 1984, she grew up in Ukraine, where she developed as an artist. She studied at the Lviv College of Decorative and Applied Arts named after Ivan Trush, as well as at the Lviv National Academy of Arts, which laid a solid foundation for her author's style. She twice received the Gaude Polonia scholarship from the Ministry of Culture of Poland (2010, 2012), which gave her the opportunity to improve her skills at the international level.


"Agrafka": the creative core

Together with Andrii Lesiv, she founded the creative workshop "Agrafka", which became one of the most recognizable names in the Ukrainian design of children's literature. Their duet combines visual excellence with deep intellectual and artistic content. Their works are not just books, but works of art that inspire, educate and awaken emotional intelligence.


International recognition

Romanishyn's books have been translated into many languages ​​and published in France, South Korea, Italy, Great Britain, USA and other countries. Her visual stories are languages ​​without words, understandable to children of different nations.

Each of the books is an opening of the world through deep metaphor, aesthetics and a research approach. She creates a space in which the young reader can touch on the concepts of emotion, perception, home, war, silence and voice, often using conceptual images to explain complex topics.
