Biography
Viktoria Amelina is a Ukrainian writer whose literary voice has become an important part of modern Ukrainian culture. She combined a high intellectual level, humanistic sensitivity and deep empathy, and her works are an attempt to understand not only the person, but also the country in difficult historical moments.
Biography
She was born January 1, 1986 in Lviv. As a child, she emigrated to Canada with her father, but later returned to Ukraine.
In 2007 she obtained a master's degree in computer technologies with honors at Lviv Polytechnic National University. During 2005–2015, she worked in international technology companies, but later left her career in IT to devote herself to literature.
Literary activity
Debut novel — "The November Syndrome, or Homo Compatiens" (2014):

Death
June 27, 2023 Victoria Amelina suffered fatal injuries during the rocket shelling of Kramatorsk, being part of a delegation of Colombian journalists and writers.
July 1, 2023 she died in a hospital in Dnipro, at the age of 37.
Inheritance
Viktoria Amelina is a symbol of a modern writer: erudite, ethical, bright. She spoke of Ukraine not as a territory of pain, but as a country of inner strength, humanity and dignity.
Her life was tragically cut short as a result of the war, but her word remained - honest, strong, warm, and it continues to resonate in memory, in texts, in readers.
