Biography
Zoya Ivanivna Kazanzhi is a Ukrainian writer, journalist, public figure, international media trainer and blogger. She was born on May 30, 1968 in one of the villages in Odeszine.
Education and career
Zoya Kazanzhi received a higher education at the Institute of Journalism of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, majoring in journalism. Her journalistic career began in Odesa regional mass media, where she worked as a correspondent, observer, department manager in regional newspapers. Later, she assumed the position of chief editor of the weekly "Slovo". For some time she worked for the politician Serhiy Kivalov.
Since 2002, she has been actively working in the international sphere as a media consultant and trainer in OSCE programs, where she trains journalists and media professionals.
Public activity
Zoya Kazanzhi was actively involved in social activities. She was one of the participants of Euromaidan. In 2014–2015, she worked as an adviser to the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Ihora Palytsa, and later assumed the position of deputy head of the Regional State Administration.
Writing activity
The writing talent of Zoya Kazanzhi has gained popularity thanks to her insightful and sincere prose collections written in a light, emotional manner. The author creates texts inspired by everyday life — experiences, both female and male, topics of love, everyday life and personal choices. Her style is often referred to as "Facebook prose" due to its immediacy, sincerity, and presentation style reminiscent of modern digital communication.
- 2014 — her debut book "If I Were" was published by "Stary Lev Publishing House" in Ukrainian and Russian languages.
- 2017 — she released her second book Something Like Love, which explores the topic of women's experience, love and everyday life more deeply.
In 2016, Zoya Kazanzhi joined the project of Maryana Savka "12 incredible women about the values that create a person", where she chose independence as the topic of her conversation.
Creative projects and activities
Zoya Kazanzhi is the founder of the creative bureau "Zhab", which deals with media projects, cultural communication and publicism. She also actively works in literature.
Personal life
Zoya Kazanzhi is married to Hennadiy Kazanzhi, whom they have known since kindergarten. The couple has a daughter, grandson and two granddaughters.
